When buying a custom shed or garage online, the ability to see 3D mockups of your selection greatly improves your customer experience. But even digital 3D models need a few seconds to get ready. The team at Fancy Nerd Design wanted to give IdeaRoom’s website some extra polish, so they reached out to me to create a loading animation. Customers can now be briefly mesmerized by my animated illustration while they wait for their model to build.
Storyboard & Style Frames
IdeaRoom didn’t have a brand direction on illustration or motion graphics, so I created an illustration style built off their palette and graphic style. The lines are crisp and clean and the animation is dynamic without being cartoonish, creating a polished and approachable style.
