LifeSci Communications

As a freelancer for LifeSci Communications, I had the pleasure of animating a few mechanism of action videos for their pharmaceutical clients. I find molecular videos like these fun to produce because I get to animate strange and abstract shapes that aren’t often found anywhere else. My interest in biology and science makes me think carefully about how every piece moves to ensure all parts of the animation are accurate.

A particularly challenging part of animating this video were the DNA strands, which constantly wiggled back and forth. Although this motion added lots of complexity to the project, it made the animation lively and engaging. There were also lots of split-screens used in this video – sometimes four at once! By applying fade-in effects I was able to keep the viewer focused on the relevant part of the frame.

The following two videos were animation tests for larger campaigns.
