It’s hard to keep up with the pace of innovation, but AWS makes it easy for people all over the world to learn the tools needed to build and grow one’s career. We show the different avenues one can take through three storybook-style animations, featuring illustrations by the renowned Tom Froese.

For this campaign I provided art direction and storyboards to Froese. I then took his layered photoshop files and animated them.

This campaign was the start of what is now a powerful history of animated illustrations for the AWS social channels. Through these 3 videos, we showed how charming and beautiful illustrations like these can tell captivating and scroll-stopping stories, without breaking the bank on production.

I drew storyboards for Froese to use as a guide for his illustrations. Here is an example of one of them from AWS re/Start.

Froese later posted the videos to his Instagram account where my animation work got a lot of love from him and his followers:
